Not always. If the growth is limited and the moisture source is obvious, cleanup and moisture repair may be the practical step. Testing is useful when the extent is unclear, when hidden growth is suspected, when a report is needed for another party, or when you want documentation after remediation.

How long do mold results take?

Laboratory turnaround is commonly 48 to 72 hours from sample submission. We confirm expected timing when your samples are collected.

Do you also perform remediation?

No. S&J Environmental provides testing and reporting only. Keeping testing separate from remediation means the findings are not tied to selling you removal work.

What does a report include?

Laboratory results for the samples collected, the locations sampled, and a plain explanation of the findings so you can discuss them with a contractor or insurer.

What mold testing involves

Mold spores exist in every indoor and outdoor environment. What matters is whether moisture in your building is allowing growth that does not belong there. S&J Environmental inspects the property, looks for the moisture source, and collects the samples that fit the situation.

Not every visible mold situation needs testing. A small area of growth with an obvious cause is sometimes better handled by fixing the moisture and cleaning the surface. Our role is to determine an appropriate scope with you, rather than to sell sampling you do not need.
